My guess is that my bounce rate is really high on all the sites because the content is so stale or the site is just new. While I’m working on posts or pages I have IE (Internet Exploder), Chrome and Firefox open at the same time and I open the different pages in each browser to make sure it looks right… then I close them which probably doesn’t help the bounce rate. On my FitnessSite I literally only put up a total of 8-10 posts in 2 years. The content that’s currently on there was very time-relevant (it was localized event news) so if someone hits an old post then they aren’t going to stick around long because it’s not current content. Of course that’s just my hypothesis since I really don’t know for sure.
Yes I am definitely going to start an affiliate site/blog. Now I have to decide a niche. I am sure I will be able to do that easily with your help. My major concern is; how will I drive traffic to it? (though I know you have mentioned a lot of information about it on your blog). I have no major experience with social media marketing, etc - just some SEO. Any suggestions how I should move forward?
Share your personal affiliate link we provide on emails, websites, blogs, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media source. We can also provide you a custom coupon code that will further entice your target audience to make a purchase. This coupon code can be printed on business cards or shared on social media to further boost sales. Your special coupon code will also keep track of your sales so we can pay your commission.

It was about 2 years from starting how to make money online before I found Wealthy Affiliate, spending loads on sites which had none or very little training, Scams! Then when I signed up for WA I couldn`t believe how good it was with all the help when you had problems and questions, there is a community of dedicated entrepreneurs some with years of marketing experience giving you a hand when you`re stuck which with me was quite a bit.
These are just the key features, but the platform offers many more. Check them out and use all the features on your way to becoming an affiliate marketing pro. However, some say the amount of knowledge might be overwhelming for new Wealthy Affiliate users, therefore take one affiliate marketing training course at a time and ensure you learn it and put those tricks into practice before you move on to the next chapter.
Over the last 20 years, I have seen lots of training courses. I agree with most of your experts. Site Build It was the first good training course I took shortly after Ken Envoy launched it. I have gone the Affiliorama route and thought it was a good program for beginners. At the time I took the course, there weren’t many options for niches. I have heard good things about Chris Farrell’s program but personally have not taken it. Wealthy Affiliate is by far the best program. Members learn to build an online business regardless of the niche(s) they select. Wealthy Affiliate also has a very strong support system in place. The active community of members means people can get their questions answered quickly.
Quora - similar to Reddit but it’s not anonymous so you have to limit how much you ask/share if you want to protect your niche and your ideas. But, it’s nice for getting answers from actual “known” experts. That’s the one drawback to Reddit - someone on here that claims to be an authority could actually just be some guy living in his mom’s basement regurgitating information found on the internet.
David’s study is a case where white hat effort can grow a site very quickly, but it does rely a little on timing, as well as a lot of research in picking the right niche. His post doesn’t go too deep into it, but you can find more about picking a niche in a post we wrote a few days ago. There’s also a ton of information on it out there on other sites, like David’s, Darren’s, and others.
