Hieu’s business model isn’t designed to set up 1-2 sites and push them until they’re powerhouses he can live off of indefinitely. Rather, he builds sites and makes them moderate successes, something like a proof of concept. The site he sold in this case study took nine months to reach a monthly income level of $1,600, at which point he sold it for about 10x that amount.

Darren is one of the most prominent affiliate marketers around, precisely because he’s always open with his history, his techniques, and his success. This post is from 2013, so he’s had three more years to rack up his success, but even then it was impressive. In 2013, it was the 10th year he had been working affiliate marketing with Amazon, and he had racked up nearly half a million dollars.

Very thoroughly explained helpful information on Wealthy Affiliate. Wealthy affiliate is a great platform but one of the bad things about it is once you sign up for premium, you can’t cancel your membership without it affecting your website. When first starting with Wealthy Affiliate, many don’t ever achieve success because they overestimate the difficulty of making a site with all the helpful resources within Wealthy Affiliate. Thanks for the helpful information on this site. Cheers!

The meat of the post is his month by month playbook and recounting of how his site grew. The first month was all about creating and setting up the site, as well as how he chose a product and how he decided to monetize it. This highlights the sheer amount of work he put into research and content to fill his site. He dug deep into reviews for his chosen product and he wrote deep reviews stretching into the 2,500-word range. Month 1, he had just over 800 visitors and made $115.
If you see This is why I'm broke, finds stuff that people will look at them as toys, or a kind of topic to talk about. He says his income comes from Amazon, yes but he also mentioned in another site that people do not buy everything on his page but buy other things from amazon. Think of it as this, you are a little hungry but not as much, the moment you start seeing friends, people and others buy food you will buy yours. Just as having a site, you give them quality items to check. Because they are there because they want to buy stuff, they just don't know what, at the end the buy because that was the point to it all.

The site has grown immensely popular as one of the first of its kind, though its design has been mimicked endlessly in the years since it reached success. It’s estimated that, as of the time of the post I linked above, it was making an estimated $20,000 per month from Amazon affiliate sales alone, along with more from, eBay partner sales and referrals to a whole host of other sites, like ThinkGeek and Wicked Lasers.

If you noticed the first table in my summary it showed that one of my sites was active with over 3000 posts before I started this case study. I used to run it as a business and I had 11 paid freelancers all writing content for me for a couple of years. It didn't work out - the business model was flawed as well as a lot of other factors - but the content was already paid for so I left it up there. Other than the content that was in the first table, I wrote everything myself this past month. I'm pretty good at structuring articles and pumping out content. I get that from college - my B.S. skills are pretty good! Thanks for the question!

February Commentary & Details: This past month was spent doing a lot of keyword research on each niche to find the exact focus for each site. For the purpose of my case study, I’m not going to get into the details on how I chose my keywords or my niches on Reddit. There are plenty of great case studies out there that talk about researching keywords/niches /u/HumbleSalesman has a pretty good one. There are also fantastic resources out there on the web - just Google (or DDG) it. I have provided some “real life” searches that I did this month below.
Currently, the affiliate channel represents 11 percent of CrazyForBargains’ overall revenue. Murphy hopes that it will eventually increase to 20 percent. She likes the affiliate program because it is a performance-based marketing channel. Instead of paying for ad placements and hoping those impressions convert, CrazyForBargains pays 12 percent commission on completed sales. The program also offers a 365-day cookie, which means that affiliates earn commission on any repeat purchases that occur within 365 days of the initial referral.

Fast forward to early 2015, I have a decent job (at a desk all day), this site still humming at 5K pageviews/month with almost ZERO thought given to it for almost 3 years, I own about 20 additional domain names and a little too much time on my hands. I start digging into Reddit and I stumble upon a few case studies talking about affiliate websites. Suddenly it hits me - I could do that! So, that’s where this case study starts… with me trying to resurrect my site and turn it into something that generates a small stream of money.
I'm not particularly comfortable doing this, it just doesn't feel natural when I do it. I feel natural typing, I come up with ideas when I'm at the keyboard typing, but when I'm in front of the camera I go completely blank ;-). I actually used to work in TV too, but as a supporting artist/extra, so I didn't really need to do anything other than stand there and mime - I had a  small speaking role once, really didn't enjoy it!

Yes I am definitely going to start an affiliate site/blog. Now I have to decide a niche. I am sure I will be able to do that easily with your help. My major concern is; how will I drive traffic to it? (though I know you have mentioned a lot of information about it on your blog). I have no major experience with social media marketing, etc - just some SEO. Any suggestions how I should move forward?

This domain can work for people in two ways. One is to get sudden bursts of income by selling a certain product. The second part is selling a service that gives you recurring fees. This course on Affiliate Marketing Strategy for Stable and Recurring Income can be very helpful if your objective is the latter. At 5.5 hours and 56 lectures, this is very extensive and useful for those looking at mastering this subject. This training program is developed by iMarket XL and Max Stryker.

Setting up any of this on your own would take specialized technical expertise and many hours of trial and error. As a cannabis affiliate marketer, lack of time is your biggest constraint, so a comprehensive affiliate marketing program like RevOffers is your secret weapon. It accelerates your progress by giving you access to the best offers in the CBD oil business, and the data and analytics you need to continually improve your performance.

While Google has been the key driver of organic traffic and sales for affiliate marketers over the years, most now realize and understand the importance of Email Marketing in this business. Without a good email marketing strategy, relying on just Google is not the best strategy according to masters of the trade. That’s why we feature this all important course created by Bryan Guerra in this list. Having taught more than 80,000 students online, Bryan is the best guy to spill the beans on this subject. Let us find out what his course is all about.

Most of the guides, articles, ebooks and lessons focus on getting good backlinks and having solid on-page optimization. That’s a good way to improve your rankings, but what you may not know is that your host can also affect your rankings for the better or worse. If you are targeting a competitive term, then you need all the help that you can get. Here’s what a good host can do for your SEO. Continuous Uptime A good host should have at least 99.9% uptime, but more is always better. Uptime refers to how long the servers are up and your website is functioning. For example, a 99.9% uptime guarantee means that you will experience about 0.01% of downtime a month, or 43 minutes at most. The search engines understand that websites go down every now and then, but having too much downtime can hurt you because your website will seem […]
This month I broke the site! I had originally used this site for local news & information so each subdomain was specific to a region. Each one had it’s own WP instance and, in some cases, duplicated content. I had to get rid of those so I merged all the content and deleted all the subdomains & consolidated. This made me take a huge hit in traffic. My webmaster tools on Google now show that I have 1400 404! error pages. This is concerning since it also shows that I have 229 external backlinks - so I fixed the main ones and redirected the rest as best I could. I also found an internal link checking tool (Broken Link Checker by Janis Elsts) and it showed that I had over 2200 Broken Links! I’m not sure I’ll ever fix all of them but at least this way they are identified. This is going to be a long process to rebuild but I knew that coming in since the whole strategy will pivot. But at least I have some quality content and a base of users/traffic that I can start to regrow.
All information contained on the site, services or on any of Pure Green Living affiliated social media pages or channels is for informational purposes only. PureGreenLiving uses referral links. These referral links don’t cost you a cent, but if you make a purchase from one of the companies that PureGreenLiving uses referral links for, these links tell those companies that you came from PureGreenLiving and lets us earn a commission from the sale (sometimes). Because of the nature of how coupon offers and deals can change there are no guarantees that the posted offers are valid but they were checked for validity during the time of posting.
#1. Wealthy Affiliate - Wealthy Affiliate is my top choice for anyone interested in learning how to create an online business. The training is the best out there and websites and hosting are all included in the program. They also have a free option to join without a credit card so that you can see what is available in the program before you purchase.
Also, if you do decide to focus on web marketing as your niche, one of the very best affiliate programs for you to promote, is Click Funnels and the other associated products. They have some of the very best performing products on the market when it comes to conversions and affiliate commissions, they even have a system which gives affiliates a bonus in the form of their dream car... seriously. Just take the free 14 day clickfunnels trial, you'll then be qualified to promote the clickfunnels products if you decide to focus on affiliate marketing as your niche.
It was about 2 years from starting how to make money online before I found Wealthy Affiliate, spending loads on sites which had none or very little training, Scams! Then when I signed up for WA I couldn`t believe how good it was with all the help when you had problems and questions, there is a community of dedicated entrepreneurs some with years of marketing experience giving you a hand when you`re stuck which with me was quite a bit.
This Manuka Doctor and Couponology case study highlights trademark + term bidding, from the goal of the program, to the strategy and the results from using this type of affiliate marketing strategy. So what exactly is trademark + term bidding? It is when an affiliate asks the advertiser for permission to run a paid search campaign on the brand’s behalf and allows for the affiliate to have a brand specific coupon or sale initiative and is strictly performance-based.
Hi. I am a designer but want to make money as an affiliate marketer. I have already made 2 sites http://www.betabookhotels.com that has nearly made the $200 mark in commissions but that’s with too much time invested over quite a few months. I have a new adsense site http://www.mwddatarecovery.com. My problem is I have spent all my money on systems that have failed to succeed. I am stuck at this point with no more money and no trust in how to guides and helpers.I need those above websites to make some bob before I do anymore sites.I want to sell affiliate products but have no more money. If I buy a session from you can you get me off the ground? Do I need to spend more? What if your session doesn’t get me anywhere?
Koi CBD is also a customer-favorite brand which offers natural and best quality CBD products. You can connect with the best and the hottest selling CBD e-liquid in the market today. Hi Stuart, I'm thinking of using something like this for my niche, been looking at the covert store builder you talked about and have a few questions, I noticed that you're not using this software for your site any reason why? On a forum I read that there have been no updates for a while and have you tried the theme just wondering how responsive it is as this is why I'm broke is such a fast site (no loading time when scrolling ect).
When I started out in affiliate marketing, I had less than no money, I was completely broke and had huge debts. I couldn't even contemplate spending money on advertising, on anything, in fact - other than trying to pay the bills and trying to get food for the family. If this describes you, don't worry - all this means is that you'll have to ignore any paid marketing to begin with and focus purely on your forte.
The following are direct CBD affiliate programs that you can join.  With these, you don't have your own website, you are simply provided an affiliate tracking link that you can share in blog posts, social media, etc.  When someone clicks on your link and decides to make a purchase, you'll earn a commission! Make sure you let tentative customers know the payment process for those not currently accepting regular credit card payments. For example, with CBD & Hemp Superstore – once you complete your purchase you will receive an email that has a link to pay via E-check. You will be required to enter your bank routing number, account number, and a check number (be sure to void that check so you don't use it again). This is the same process for setting up auto payments for most online bills.

The post I linked isn’t a direct post from the owner of the site. It’s a case study performed from the outside, so you have a better idea of how objective it is. The founder of TIWIB struggled with failed ventures before he hit upon the formula he used for the site, taking existing product affiliate pages and adding infinite scrolling, better images, and careful product selection.
Always research the companies that you plan to join! This is becoming a booming industry and there isn't yet much in the way of regulation to ensure safe and quality products. When researching CBD Oil affiliate programs, look for reviews (not from their own sites) that mention things about the quality of the products, as well as information on shipping and customer service.  Be on the lookout for any negative reviews that raise flags. The best way to promote is to try the products and then begin with that company so you can fully testify to it.
*Yes:  As you may have guessed, the link above is my two-tier affiliate link.  There are a few of these links on this site to pay me a small commission and allow me to keep this site free instead of a monthly membership site.  Using my two-tier affiliate link will not affect the amount of commission paid to you with this or any other program.  My commissions are paid out of the vendor’s cut, not yours.
Hemp Bomb’s competitive pricing, engaging user experience, and focus on customer service creates a high-converting website, which is a huge benefit for their affiliates. In addition to a high-converting website, Hemp Bomb’s CBD affiliate program is packed with tons of benefits for its affiliates such as weekly payouts, 90-day cookies, ready-to-go marketing content, and the ability to earn indirect commissions through sub-affiliates.
DuckDuckGo - It’s an alternative search engine to Google - it doesn’t track your history so the results it returns (in theory) are completely unbiased. This was nice when I was doing keyword research as well as other searches. I felt like my results were more targeted around the specific keywords and not around the ads, my history or whatever else Google thought I would like to see. I found a lot of high quality resources on page one of DDG that were on page 27 of my Google searches so I would have never found them otherwise.
The last step here is to take action. I assume you’re reading this because you already have your own website, but the truth is it’s not necessary. If you do have a website, the Diem CBD Ambassador Area has pretty much everything you need to get started, including web banners, direct linking capabilities, and stat tracking. But if you want to promote sales locally, Diem CBD also offers custom business cards and postcards for affiliates to use through networking with local businesses. No other CBD affiliate program offers this same level of promotional material, and through my discussions with their affiliate manager it’s become pretty clear that they are willing to provide many just about any resources I need as long as they see me actively promoting their products and making sales. The level of support so far has been incredible.
Review : I’m really happy that I bought this course. Theo was so informative and had really good explanations. I loved how she walked us through setting up our blog step by step which really helped me and also motivated me to get it done. It made starting my blog less overwhelming for me to see her steps on Word Press. She was very thorough and I feel a lot better about it now. She even is responsive on the Facebook group. Would definitely recommend this course! If anything could be changed, I would just want to see even more steps on the word press side as far as physically setting things up. Thanks for a great course Theo! – Jamie Banks

You can read the rest of his post above for a bunch of tips on becoming an Amazon affiliate success. Some of the tips are pretty common, like “get more traffic,” but that doesn’t change how valuable Darren’s site is as a whole. You can also listen to a more recent post about his success – showing he topped the $500K threshold – with this podcast post.

A blog/ pricecomparison website/ coupon website/ email marketer/ influencer/ or anyone else with an audience puts a special Link or banner (there are more options, but let’s keep it simple) on their site, network or newsletter to promote Brand X. If someone clicks on the link then buys something on the site of Brand X within a certain window of time, the Affiliate gets a commission. This could be a flat rate or a percentage of the sale.
Hey, Sarai! Sure, you can be an affiliate without a website, it’s just about being creative. So, to answer your question… no, you do not need a self-hosted website to be an affiliate for most affiliate programs out there. And even if you’d need to submit one, during the sign-up process, you can always use any of hundreds, even thousands web 2.0 platform and create something there. Creating a CBD blog is, of course, a good idea, you could also create your own Youtube channel, FB page, Instagram, and on and on… just be creative, there are no limits.
If I read all the information correctly, and I did a few SERPS searches for each site, I don’t rank within the top 120 for any of my current target keywords… but I rank pretty high on my older site for keywords that I will no longer be targeting. I’ll have to understand this more to be able to talk about what that means and how I should be using this information… Can anyone explain it to me?

While the companies above do have a small variety of products for pets, these two offer CBD oil and Cannabis products for pets.  I actually order the fish oil tincture from Hemp & CBD SuperStore, but also buy Canna-Pet biscuits as well. My older dog has severe arthritis and the oil has helped her tremendously in relieving her pain. I use the biscuits for all of my dogs (also have 2 Doberman) for an afternoon “wellness” treat.

Nunez immediately saw the potential of the CrazyForBargains affiliate program, and thought it would be successful because it paired a generous commission rate with an extensive inventory of a niche product. “They have a wide variety of fun family sleepwear at very affordable prices, and free shipping for purchases exceeding $40. Further, they have a terrific conversion rate. Put that all together, and they are a very attractive program to promote for all affiliate marketers,” Nunez explains.

Site Build It - Site Build It is my second choice for learning how to create an online business. The training is very good and you get one website with hosting included. There is no free option, which is one of the reasons that it is not my first choice. I started here back in 2007 and the education that I received was very valuable and helped me to achieve a great level of success.
Is there a way to be an affiliate without a website? For instance I could print out cards with the link on it for people to go to and make purchases or something of the sort. Is that possible? Do all affiliate programs require a website? If yes, would it suffice if I created a CBD blog and used that as my website for affiliate purposes? Thanks a lot

yes I am aware of the search button as I posted. I am looking for direction and I want to "cut to the chase" I am not interested in spending months sifting through every single post about affiliate marketing trying to figure out what is good information and what is useless (as I am sure there are tons of useless posts and mis information) not to mention outdated information.
